How do I train my dog to use the ramp?

Start with it flat on the floor and walk your dog across it with a treat, then raise it a little at a time over a few days. Reward at both ends, every single trip, consistency is what builds the habit. Most dogs are using it on their own inside a week.

What if my dog is scared of it at first?

That is normal. Do not lift them onto it. Keep the sessions short and positive, feed a few meals beside it so it becomes ordinary furniture, and let them choose it. Some dogs take 1–3 days, a few take 2–3 weeks.

Will it slip on my floor?

When I started Henley & Bone, the dog who inspired this ramp was a 15-year-old golden with stiff hips. But as we shipped the first units, the letters that came back surprised us, they weren’t all from senior-dog families. They came from people with dachshunds whose vets had warned about IVDD. Came fast. A little on the light side (14.4 lbs), which is nice for handling, but was worried it wouldn't be strong enough for larger dogs. Seems to work for my dog — he's 70 lbs.
